At least 40 sheep and goats died as a result of lightning in the Ramban district of J&K, according to officials on Wednesday. According to officials, lightning struck the Banihal’s Hinjhal Top Meadow late on Tuesday night in the Ramban area.
“As soon as the information was received, a group of sheep husbandry department officials and police hurried to the scene.
According to the officials, 40 sheep and goats have died as a result of the lightning hit.
However, the livestock owner said that he had lost over 80 sheep and goats as a result of the incident. (Agencies)
